At UIDV, we recognise that domestic and family violence is a serious issue that affects individuals, families, and the wider community regardless of faith, culture, or background. Islam teaches peace, compassion, and justice, and any form of abuse physical, emotional, financial, or spiritual  has no place in a Muslim home or relationship.

Our role is to provide guidance, support, and intervention for individuals and families experiencing conflict or abuse. We work with qualified Imams and community support services to ensure that victims of violence are heard, respected, and protected.

We help by:

•Providing confidential spiritual and emotional support through trained Imams

•Offering marital guidance and mediation in line with Islamic principles and Australian law

•Referring individuals and families to specialised domestic violence servicessafe housing, and counselling when needed

UIDV stands firmly against all forms of abuse and supports the safety, dignity, and wellbeing of every member of our community. Seeking help is not a sign of weakness it is a step towards safety, healing, and justice.

If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic or family violence, please reach out for help. Your safety matters, and support is available.
