Islamic & Civil Marriage (NIKAH)

At UIDV, we conduct both Islamic Marriages (Nikah) and civil marriage ceremonies. Our Imams, who are Registered Ministers of Religion, are authorised to perform Islamic Marriages and officially register them with the Births, Deaths and Marriages Registry of Victoria (BDM).

Couples intending to marry are required to lodge a Notice of Intention to Marry (NOIM) at least one month prior to their wedding date.

For Islamic Marriages (Nikah), couples may also request a UIDV Certificate of Islamic Marriage issued by the officiating Imam.
